AMEN

"I am the path, truth and life"

The word 'truth' has been translated from the Greek word 'alethia' which originally means unforgetteble. So we understand from that we remember the truth inherited in us already. Truth is something we have to remember. It has its own inherent and irresistable 'witness' to reality. People may lie to themselves but ultimately the truth has final word..."The light shine in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it."

The Hebrew word for truth 'emet' comes from the root 'aman' which means 'support' and 'make firm'. The noun 'emunah' comes from this root also which means 'faithfullness' and 'trustworthiness'.

So playing on words while translating can be very misleading such as..."if you are not frm in faith you will not be firm at all" actually was meant as "without trust in Lord, there is no stability". Finally we must say that Yeshua was the faithful and the true witness. Yeshua was also called the 'amen'.
